    About this paper

    1 cm graph paper

Centimeter graph paper has 1 cm × 1 cm squares. The large cells make counting easy, which is why it is popular in primary school math for area, perimeter, multiplication arrays and bar charts.

Because each square is exactly one centimeter, the sheet also works as a quick measuring reference. Print it at actual size and every square is a true 1 cm.

    Frequently asked questions

How many 1 cm squares fit on A4?

    An A4 sheet is 21 × 29.7 cm. With a 1 cm margin on each side you get a 19 × 27 grid (513 squares).

Can I add bold lines every 5 cm?

Yes. Set “Bold line every” to 5 to get heavier lines every 5 squares.

How do I make sure the grid prints at the right size?

In the print dialog choose “Actual size”, “100%” or “No scaling”, and turn off “Fit to page” or “Shrink to fit”. To confirm, print our free calibration test sheet and measure the 10 cm line with a ruler.

Is it free for commercial use?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no download limit. You can use the paper for classes, worksheets, products and client work.
